1997, Mayfair Games had most of their assets acquired by Iron Crown Enterprises who restarted the company as Ironwind, Inc.; still operating under the Mayfair Games trademark.
On February 9, 2018, Mayfair announced it had sold all of its assets to the North American branch of Asmodée Éditions, and would be shutting down.
In 2024, the Mayfair Games brand was re-launched under new owners.
